What We Do

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the only nationally recognized therapy proven to be effective with individuals with Autism. All insurance companies recognize this science as a successful therapy and are willing to pay for it. It involves studying why people do certain things and how their environment affects those actions. Apex uses ABA to help individuals learn new skills, improve social interactions, and decrease behaviors that may be challenging or unsafe. It uses a step-by-step approach to teach someone how to do things they find difficult, while also figuring out what factors might be causing behaviors that they want to change. ABA focuses on positive reinforcement, which means rewarding or praising good behaviors to encourage them. Overall, ABA is about helping people make positive changes in their lives by understanding and working with how they behave in different situations.

Along with providing in-home therapy for your child with Autism, Apex also provides ABA training for parents and other caregivers to promote consistency outside of session times. This gives parents a more effective method of handling problem behaviors within the home.

Apex is dedicated to not only working with your child, but working with your entire family.
